Reaching the Educational Goals
Structured Pedagogy with Social and Emotional Learning(SEL) for Teachers include providing educators with training sessions, workshops, and ongoing expert support in SEL with the theory that when teachers possess effective SEL strategies, they will create a safe and supportive classroom environment that promotes positive relationships, empathy, emotional regulation, and responsible decision-making. The expected outcome is teachers' enhanced ability to address students' social and emotional needs, resulting in improved classroom behavior, reduced conflicts, increased student engagement, and improved academic performance. In a study conducted by Durlak et al.(2011) on over 200-school-based SEL programs, positive impacts were found on social-emotional skills, attitudes, and academic outcomes across various student populations. Another research study by Jones et 4 al.(2017) focused on the impact of SEL interventions for teachers, revealing that SEL training led to greater emotional and social competence among teachers, improving the classroom environment. Moreover, students in these classrooms displayed enhanced social-emotional skills and academic performance.
